Your letter regarding the Gaza DCO notification of severing communications with human rights organizations
Defense ministry’s response to the letter by human rights organizations regarding the Gaza DCO’s notification of immediate cessation of processing applications by Gaza residents seeking permits to enter Israel submitted by HaMoked and other organizations. The defense ministry stresses that the DCO’s demand that demanding preliminary requests by Palestinians from Gaza wishing to enter Israel for medical treatment is not a boycott but merely a technical improvement measure stemming mostly from cost considerations. The ministry notifies that the DCO will continue to process applications by the organizations and others in exceptional, humanitarian and life-saving cases. Document available in Hebrew.
