Article on the Electronic Intifada website regarding the Defense Ministry's decision to compensate two fishermen from Deir Al Balah for their boat's drowning while at the hands of the military. The military detained the two as while were fishing in the Mediterranean, off the coast of the Gaza Strip. Despite the Military Court's decision to release them and return the boat, they were sent on their way without it. Several months later, the military announced that the boat had drowned. The Defense Ministry decided to award the fishermen NIS 245,000 compensation.
