CC (Jerusalem) 16529/95 - Muslih v. The State of Israel

Claim filed by HaMoked in the case of a student who had taken off a plane at Ben Gurion airport and then held and interrogated at the police station there. His laissez-passer and ID were taken from him. The ID was returned 45 days later and only after repeated requests sent to the authorities by HaMoked. The laissez-passer has not been returned and the Plaintiff still does not know why he was taken off the plain. At the time, he was en route to Greece where he was to take his first year final exams that same day and then continue his academic studies. The Plaintiff lost the first two years of his studies and has been unable to return since as he was unable to finance the studies. The case resulted in a settlement whereby the State paid the Plaintiff 10,500 NIS.
