Concluding observations of the Human Rights Committee: Israel Paragraph 16

Concluding observations of the UN's Human Rights Committee, listing its concerns and recommendations regarding various areas of Israel's policy towards the Palestinians: administrative detention without adequate judicial review and access to counsel; “targeted killings” of those Israel identifies as suspected terrorists; house demolitions and use of "human shields"; torture during interrogation pretexted on security needs; movement restrictions in the West Bank, especially in the "seam zone" due to the separation wall; infringement of the right to family life following the enactment of the Citizenship and Entry into Israel Law (Temporary Order) and so on. Additionally, the Committee discusses discrimination in the participation of Arab citizens in the public sector, and public pronouncements by Israeli figures which may lead to discrimination, hostility and violence.
