Concluding observations of the Human Rights Committee: Israel Paragraph 19

"Concluding observations of the UN Human Rights Committee. The Committee expresses its concerns on a number of issues relating to Israel's policy towards the Palestinians: administrative detention without appropriate judicial review or access to legal counsel; ""kill lists"" of suspects in terror attacks as a means of deterrence; home demolitions and the use of neighbors in apprehending assailants; torture of detainees in interrogations; curtailment of freedom of movement inside the West Bank, especially in the Seam Zone, following the construction of the wall; harm of the right to family life following the passing of the Citizenship and Entry into Israel Law; and more. Discrimination regarding the integration of Arab citizens in the public sector is also discussed, as well as racist remarks made by Israeli officials against Arabs, which could lead to discrimination, hostility and violence.
