CC (Jerusalem) 2738/97 - Kusbeh et al. v. Shemesh et al.
Claim filed by HaMoked in a case where soldiers severely abused the residents of a home whose roof they were using as an observation post. Following the incident, in which much property was damaged, one of the Defendants was tried and convicted of battery and unbecoming conduct. Despite the severity of the actions he was sentenced to only four months' imprisonment, one of which to be served as an active prison term. The claim was settled and the State paid the Plaintiffs NIS 32,000.
