Claim filed by HaMoked due to the arrest of a Palestinian with no cause and his beating at a Police station. One of the Police officers threatened the Plaintiff that if he complained he would be charged with stone throwing and that the officer himself would testify against him in court and beat him in the nearby hills. The officer who beat the Plaintiff particularly severely was convicted in Disciplinary Court of unlawful use of force. Despite the Judge's ruling that the use of force was wholly unjustified, the officer received a grave reprimand only and a NIS 300 fine. The claim was settled and the Defendants paid the Plaintiff NIS 10,000.
