Pre-petition letter: Preventing the Deportation of Palestinians Living in the West Bank to Gaza
HaMoked’s letter to the head of the HCJ Division at the State Attorney’s Office, demanding the immediate cessation of the unlawful practice of deporting Palestinians from the West Bank to Gaza. HaMoked claims that the military routinely deports Palestinians from the West Bank to Gaza - for reasons which have nothing to do with security and without an order - on the grounds that these persons did not change their registered address from Gaza to the West Bank. HaMoked’s position is that every Palestinian is entitled to choose his place of residence, and change of residence is not subject to Israel’s approval.
