Arbitrary and Unreasonable Directive as a Precondition for Appeals to the Erez DCO - Response by the Southern Command

In the military’s response following HaMoked’s appeal regarding the Gaza DCO’s arbitrary directive -- which makes handling of Palestinians’ applications conditional on the inclusion of applicants’ private telephone numbers -- the army retracts its said demand insofar as applications to the Gaza DCO are submitted through organizations such as HaMoked. The letter claims that the said directive was established following the ISA’s demand to receive the telephone numbers of persons who apply to the Erez DCO for “operative needs”.
