Arbitrary and Unreasonable Directive as a Precondition for Appeals to the Erez DCO

HaMoked’s appeal to the Prime Minister’s Office, demanding to cancel an unreasonable and arbitrary directive by the Gaza DCO, which makes the handling of Palestinians’ applications conditional on the forwarding of the applicants’ private telephone numbers. This directive is arbitrary, HaMoked claims, mainly since the Gaza DCO refuses to communicate directly with the applicants. HaMoked also claims that this directive does not meet the fundamental principles of Israeli proper administration, and that this demand is bothersome and infringes the privacy of residents unjustifiably. Therefore, HaMoked demands to cancel the directive and to know which agency ordered its instatement, what is its purpose, who uses the telephone numbers, where they are kept, and who has access to them.
