HaMoked's Appeal regarding the Directive to Provide a Private Telephone Number when Submitting an Application or Appeal to the Erez DCO

Response by the Prime Minister’s Office to HaMoked’s appeal regarding the Gaza DCO’s arbitrary directive, making the handling of Palestinians’ appeals conditional on the forwarding of applicants’ private telephone numbers. The response states that the telephone numbers are indeed required when an application is made to the Erez DCO, in order to screen the applicants more effectively. The response was received six months after HaMoked’s appeal, and after the army had already announced that the procedure had been cancelled and even retracted the cancellation, claiming that the letter cancelling the procedure was sent by mistake.
