HCJ 7582/08 Shtiwi v. Military Commander in the West Bank, unacceptable conduct by security officials

HaMoked’s complaint to the state attorney regarding severe harassment of a West Bank Palestinian wishing to travel to Malaysia for PhD studies. In a petition filed by HaMoked about a year ago, after the man was told he was precluded from travel, the state notified that if no new information about him was received for one year, the preclusion would be lifted. The petitioner has recently received telephone threats that if he did not cooperate with the ISA, his travel would be prohibited. In the complaint, HaMoked demands the cessation of this method of threatening and harassing people to cooperate with the Occupier, which is a violation of international law, and the immediate reversal of the petitioners’ travel restriction.
