Re: your letter regarding the Kashta case
In the context of HaMoked’s petition, the Gaza DCO surprisingly notified it approves the return to Qalqiliya of a Palestinian who was deported to Gaza upon release from imprisonment for illegal presence in Israel. The petitioner, who lives in Qalqiliya, was arrested and interrogated by Hamas several times on suspicion of collaboration with Israel and there was fear for his life. The notice clarifies the request was approved after examination by the humanitarian desk at the DCO. The court deleted the petition with parties’ consent following the petitioner’s return home the day after the DCO’s notice. Document available in Hebrew.
