Re: Objection to the intention to seize and demolish – apartment where the assailant _____ ‘Akari (ID No. _____) resided

The military's response to HaMoked's objection against the intention to demolish the family home of the assailant in the ramming attack at the Jerusalem light-rail station. The military dismisses HaMoked's arguments and holds that "The recent escalation in the security of the Jerusalem area, which peaked with the latest ramming, stabbing and shooting attacks, as well as the current assessment on the efficacy of deterrence in said cases, provide the necessary foundation for exercising the power under Regulation 119 [of the defense (Emergency) Regulations]". The military adds that "The Order shall not be implemented before November 26, 2014, at 10:30 noon".
