The military rejects an objection to an intended punitive demolition of a home: “the military commander’s intent is to act to demolish the entire structure”
On July 7, 2016, HaMoked lodged an
objection to a punitive demolition order issued for an apartment in Bani Na’im Village in Hebron District. The apartment, on the ground floor of a two-storey building, is the home of a family of a young man suspected of committing an attack against Israelis in the Qiryat Arba settlement on June 30, 2016.
On July 10, 2016, the military
rejected HaMoked’s objection and notified it intended to demolish the entire two-storey structure (the upper floor of which is uninhabited), using mechanical engineering equipment.
The military announced the demolition order would not be implemented before July 13, 2016, 13:00 PM.
