The military rejected an objection to a punitive demolition order: “the intent is to demolish the room adjacent to the parents’ house, in which the terrorist actually slept, and not the other rooms in the structure”

On August 29, 2016, the military issued a punitive demolition order for the room of a youth suspected of involvement in an attack against Israelis in Tel Aviv on June 8, 2016. The room, adjacent to the house of the youth’s parents, is in Khirbet Raka’a in the South Hebron Hills.

On October 10, 2016, the military rejected HaMoked’s objection to the demolition order, and announced it intended to seal only the youth’s room, using concrete “so as to prevent use of the room”.

The military added that the order would not be implemented until October 18, 2016, at 17:00.
