On March 19, 2020, the Ministry of Interior published a notice announcing its decision
– made that same day
– to “automatically extend the permits of stay in Israel… of residents of the Judea and Samaria Area and the Gaza Strip, who held this permit pursuant to family unification procedures and which expired as of March 12, 2020”. It was also announced that due to the closure imposed on the West Bank and Gaza, the permit would be revoked if its holder “exits to the Palestinian Authority areas during this period”.
This notice was published two days after
HaMoked sent the Minister of Interior a demand letter on the issue.
