Pre-petition letter: counsel visit with prisoner
Pre-petition letter by HaMoked to the state attorney’s office after two appeals to allow one of its attorneys to visit the Ramon prison were unlawfully denied by the IPS. In the letter, HaMoked stresses that denying the meeting with the prisoner constitutes a grave violation of Art. 45 of the Prison Ordinance which requires a prisoner be allowed to meet with his counsel. Following the letter, the state attorney’s office notified that the prohibition had been lifted.
