AP (Jerusalem) 413/03 - Alsadeh et al. v. Director, Population Administration Office in East Jerusalem Respondent’s Response to the Petition

The respondent contends that, after the petitioner’s request for family unification, which she submitted on behalf of her husband, was approved, she was first sent to obtain a DCO permit. Later, when she sought to obtain a temporary status for her husband, security officials handling the request stated that handling of the request should be delayed for six months, and they also summoned her husband for questioning. During that six-month period, Government Decision 1813 was adopted. This decision prevented the granting of a temporary status to the husband, and the respondent was only left with the option of extending the DCO permit.
