HCJ 7964/95 - Abu Iyash et al. v. General Security Service Petition for Order Nisi and Interim Order

Petition by HaMoked on behalf of three detainees, to instruct the ISA to cease from torturing them during their interrogations. The petitioners' interrogations include shaking, stress positions, over-tightening of handcuffs, covering their heads with a sack, sleep deprivation, and other torture methods. The petitioners are also denied access to legal counsel, and their medical care is negligent. HaMoked claims that according to the criminal code, use of force or violence during an interrogation is completely prohibited, and the actions of the interrogators are illegal and contrary to the Convention Against Torture, to which Israel is a party.
[GSS, later known as ISA]
