Claim filed by HaMoked due to false imprisonment of a Palestinian in the Ketziot Prison. The Plaintiff was sentenced to seven months' imprisonment which he served in Ketziot. He was also sentenced to a fine of NIS 1,500 or sixty days' imprisonment. His family paid the fine about a month before the deadline – the Plaintiff's release date – but he was only released twenty days after the original date. In addition to the anguish the Plaintiff suffered as a result of the false imprisonment, he also missed an opportunity for employment in a pharmaceutical company. The case was settled and the State paid the Plaintiff NIS 15,000.
