Conflict, occupation and patriarchy: Women carry the burden
A report by Amnesty International presenting the grave harm caused to woman as a result of human rights violations in the Occupied Territories. Many of the violations, including house demolitions and the destruction of agricultural land, severe restrictions on freedom of movement and restrictions on the right to education and work, directly or indirectly affect women. The report also mentions Palestinian legislation which discriminates women as well as violence against women in Palestinian society. From the Amnesty International website.
