Orders regarding Security Provisions (Judea and Samaria) (no. 378), 5730-1970 Instructions Regarding Movement and Travel (Restriction of Travel in Israeli Vehicles) (Cancellation)

Following a petition by HaMoked and 7 other human rights organizations, the order forbidding Israelis from driving Palestinians inside the West Bank was cancelled. The OC Central Command announced the cancellation before the HCJ hearing took place. The petition and a letter sent by HaMoked to the OC Central Command stated that the order seeks to apply an apartheid policy, discriminates between people on an ethnic/racial basis and attempts to thwart the work of organizations assisting Palestinians. HaMoked further stated that the order violates core provisions of international human rights law, international criminal law and Israeli constitutional and administrative law.
