HCJ 9594/03 - B’Tselem et al. v. Judge Advocate General Response on behalf of the State Attorney’s Office

Response by the State Attorney's Office in the petition by B'Tselem and ACRI to instruct the Military Advocate General to open a MPIU investigation into the death of 8 Palestinians during military operations in the OPT, and in every other death of uninvolved Palestinian civilians caused by the military brought to its attention. The State Attorney's Office requests the petition's outright dismissal. It contends that as the matters of the individual petitioners are separate, a single petition for all, instead of separate petitions for each case, is unjustified. The State Attorney's Office also argues that the request to order the opening of an investigation in every case where Palestinians are killed by the military is general and theoretical. Translation from the website of B'Tselem.
