HCJ 11198/02 - Diriya et al. v. Commander of the Ofer Military Detention Facility et al. Second Supplementary Response on behalf of the State Attorney’s Office

State's Response in the petition of three Palestinians held in the Ofer detention facility who are denied family visits. The State notifies that, as planned and notified in the petition's second hearing, since July 23, 2003, visits to Ofer have been underway from six West Bank districts. From July to September, some 9,000 people visited inmates in the prisons, including Ofer. Furthermore, visits have been approved for the Hebron District as planned, and, once the security situation allows it, will also be approved for the Nablus and Jenin Districts. The State informs that in the specific case of the three petitioners, family visits are no longer precluded. Given its response, the petition has been resolved and should be dismissed.
