HCJ 6138/10 - HaMoked: Center for the Defence of the Individual v. Attorney General Judgment
Judgment in HaMoked’s petition to instruct the Attorney General to examine complaints of torture during ISA interrogations in an efficient and timely manner and to formulate a procedure for such examination. The petition is rejected. The Court notes that the 17 complaints were examined and detailed decisions were transmitted to the Petitioners. With respect to the request for a general procedure for processing complaints, the Court notes that the Petitioner did not exhaust remedies prior to taking legal action and that the State had notified that staff work on structural changes to the examination mechanism was underway.
