HCJ 8066/14, 8070/14 - _____ Abu Jamal et al. v. GOC Home Front Command Judgment

Judgment dismissing HaMoked's petitions against the intended punitive demolition of the family homes of the two assailants in the attack at the synagogue in Har Nof, Jerusalem. The court rules that the two assailants' deeds were particularly severe, and in such cases, as previously ruled, there nothing to hinder the demolition. The court adds that the principle arguments against this practice have already been considered in the public petition by HaMoked and other human rights organizations, which was dismissed that same day. The court addresses HaMoked's concern and rules that the state must act to minimize the risk of possible damage to adjacent apartments, and use for that purpose the engineering opinion submitted by HaMoked.
